Since 1978, the Tour de France à la voile has allowed thousands of sailors to discover the French coast. This yachting race is held in July every year and links the English Channel to the French Riviera. The tour is a great offshore sailing school for amateur sailors, and a high-level competition for the great champions taking part.

A packed episode for you, with footage from the Nixon Surf Challenge, the story of MS surfboards and ‘Away’ - an amazing short documentary about three women who surf in New York City. The Nixon surf challenge has been going on for a decade now. The event has grown from a casual get together of befriended riders, into the annual trip it is today.

For all sea and sailing enthusiasts, for those who don't want to miss a unique spectacle in the world, the event takes place every year in Trieste. It is the Barcolana, the international sailing regatta which is now in its 54th edition: a magical mix of competition and "pop" sailing festival which makes Trieste the European sailing capital.The joy of setting sail, the "vitality" of a city like Trieste, from respect to inclusion, to curiosity and spontaneity: the values of the Barcolana, its aspirations and the relationship with its participants.

We take a stroll down the village of Arkansa, in the middle of Karpathos. The village is loved by tourists who have been coming for over 20 years. Then, we are going to explore some of the ruins of the island, starting in the north in the ancient Vrikous.
